LVHRD Presents: Amirrorica
2004.Oct.25. Monday - by lvhrdOctober 25, 2004, New York — Well timed with the approaching Presidential elections, LVHRD hosted an event, Amirrorica, which showcased political satire from three T-shirt design companies: dooker.com, dangerbreed and Busted Tees. These three New York-based brands reflect American values today. They use humor, sarcasm, irony, plasticol inks, and combed cotton, to make wearable political statements, without making shallow stabs at our current administration. The works displayed address America’s fascination with itself as the center of the world. The shirts from dooker.com featured a series of color-coded shirts corresponding to the different Terrorist Alert Levels as determined by the Department of Homeland Security. Witty slogans like “South Korea’s Got Seoul” adorned the shirts by Busted Tees.
