New STK Restaurant Mysteriously Missing Vowels

2006.Dec.15. Friday - by lvhrd

When Beauregard H. Montgomery founded LVHRD, his decision to leave the vowels out of “Live Hard” made the title both enigmatic and individualistic. It’s a fairly unique spelling that makes Lint just a little suspicious when he sees the new West Village steakhouse, STK, also missing the key vowels that would make it look properly spelled. What’s going on here? Has a LVHRD member secretely opened a steak house and not let us know?

Not only that, but there’s also another place called BRGR on 287 seventh Ave that sells, you guessed it, burgers. What’s next, a falafel inspired restaurant simply called, FLFL?

Maybe, but if it doesn’t happen, at least we have a steakhouse and a burger joint for the time being that looks very LVHRDesque. Check out this New York Times Dining and Wine article to find out more about the consonant friendly steakhouse.
