On Tuesday, March 21st 2006, LVHRD hosted the Master-Disaster Architect Duel II at the Canal Room in Tribeca, NYC. In this David vs. Goliath match-up, downtown partnership Grzywinski Pons Architects challenged global firm Arquitectonica to a model building competition before the LVHRD audience. More than 500 screaming architects and fans braved the cold and the crowds to see who would be victorious. The teams were tasked with a surprise brief to build a floating ampitheater in a post-global warming watery cityscape. Guests were asked towear nautical hats, consistent with the design brief.
This VDO details that fateful evening when Matthew Grzywinski, Amador Pons, Eric Hofman, and Daniel Colvard took to the stage to settle a score. Watch to see who was victorious at last year’s Architect Duel, and get ready for this year’s upcoming event on January 23rd, 2007.
