LVHRD VDO 022: ARCHDL 3.0 TMLPS

On Tuesday, January 23rd, teams of female architects from Balmori Associates and Field Operations met at 41 Broad Street, in Manhattan’s financial district, for the 3rd annual Master-Disaster Architect Duel. In a surprise announcement, each team was given the task of creating a green roof network across a model version of New York’s Stuyvesant Town neighborhood. The brief required that their structure provide a food source or viable cash crop for the citizens that tended the space, as well as include two bridges to traverse the roof tops. Consistent with the revolutionary qualities of new building material Reduraflex 768, the architects were given 25 pounds of cheese to create their designs.
