Thank You Dewars

PMP: XIT

2007.Mar.27. Tuesday - by lvhrd

If you don’t live in Texas you probably won’t get there in time for Peripheral Media Project’s one night exhibition in Dallas. Even if you do live in Texas you might not get there in time. In Texas a three million acre ranch only takes up a fraction of the panhandle. We’ve driven from El Paso to New Orleans and it’s real easy to stare at nothing along the way.

Nevertheless, PMP has come down from Brooklyn to the Art Prostitute Gallery in Dallas for a spectacle of prints, apparel, and titillating action. PMP will introduce Texas to Peter McGouran, the founder of Mesh Count Magazine, as well as PMP’s clothing line, Plan D. Peter will be at the gallery on Wednesday with the latest issue of Mesh Count (PMP did a limited edition cover).

PMP is a creative collective of designers, printers, street artists and activists committed to social transformation through events and clothing, both in and out of the gallery system. Adjacent to their production studio in Brooklyn, PMP founders Garrison Buxton and Ray Cross, created Ad Hoc Gallery, a platform for grassroot explosions of music, dance, and visual art. Garrison, danced hard at LVHRD’s first Battle of the Moves. You can see him in the DNCHRD VDO 1.6.

If you come by the Art Prostitute Gallery tomorrow, Wednesday, March 28th, PMP will silk screen a custom print on any article of clothing you own (or don’t own) for $10.
