J.K. Rowling apparently broke into tears as she finished one of the last chapters of the 7th and final Harry Potter book, The Deathly Hallows.

“When I finished one chapter near the end I absolutely howled,” she told the BBC television presenter Jonathan Ross.

Rowling says she finished the book alone in a hotel room, downed half a bottle of champagne and drove home streaming mascara. (via Reuters)

It's like Rowling doesn't love us anymore. She drove home half-drunk, crying, with the final Harry Potter manuscript sitting beside her in the passenger seat!? Was it pouring rain too?! On a slick, windy mountain road!?

With 1.6 million advance copies of Deathly Hallows already sold we can see the Lifetime TV execs sitting around saying, “Ah so close! So close!”
