Flying
confessions of a free woman
“This documentary was made for television in six one-hour segments, will open as a two-part film starting Wednesday at Film Forum in New York. The documentary is a delicate construction asking a delicate question: Is there anything in common between Ms. Fox, a liberal, middle-class Manhattanite, and, say, a prostitute in Cambodia? Flying contends that there is.” (Read more in the NY Times Article)
The film is such an honest look into the human experience. Jennifer’s almost terrified/awkward expression and school yard narration seem odd at first, but it soon becomes the only touch point for sanity in the rollercoaster that is her love life. Jennifer’s life seems quite charmed when contrasted to the women she talks to in her travels. But an in depth look into a very personal experience proved quite thought provoking non the less.
We’ll definatley go see part two.
