Chantal took a vacation from NYC

after PHTHRD, and even though we asked her to please, try and keep a low profile, here she is popping up on the grid doing god-knows-what more than 300 miles south of Nova Scotia in the middle of the ocean.

It looks like she’s far enough out to sea that Chantal won’t affect life in the US. “Chantal is not a threat to the United States,” says the weather center in Miami.

This looks like it will be one of her milder benders.
