Mayor’s office goes back to the drawing board with photography rules

2007.Aug.7. Tuesday - by lvhrd

Well done, NYC. The Mayor’s Office of Film, Theater, and Broadcasting has pulled their proposal to restrict public photography back to the drawing board to address massive public concern that the regulations broadly interpreted could be used to suppress public photography whenever it was convenient.

Though “redrafting the rules” does not mean repealing them, it’s a step in the right direction. More at pictureNY.org.
