Urban Disorientation: the big game

2007.Sep.14. Friday - by lvhrd

LVHRD member and MCFGHT II host Kurt Braunohler is doing an event this weekend called Urban Disorientation as part of the Conflux - an interactive Psychogeographical arts festival.

There are two permutations of Urban Disorientation, the Long and the Short.

Long
Participants are divided into teams with a guide (Kurt will be one), blindfolded, and driven 5-10 miles away from Conflux headquarters. The blindfolds come off and the players are abandoned without cell phones, wallets, or metrocards, and tasked with making their way back to Conflux headquarters. First team to make it back to Conflux HQ wins.

Arbitrary rules will also be imposed on the teams; the game is expected to last 4-6 hours.

FCTS: Urban Disorientation, Long: start at The Change You Want to See: 84 Havemeyer Street, Brooklyn: Saturday, 15 September: 2pm

Space is limited! You must contact Kurt if you want to play in the Long game.

Short (Lost in the Supermarket)
With credits to The Clash, this short version of Urban Disorientation places blindfolded participants in the gleaming marvel that is the Supermarket and asks them to play the role of the confused shopper as they must find each other and accomplish tasks.

FCTS: Urban Disorientation, Short: start at The Change You Want to See: 84 Havemeyer Street, Brooklyn: Sunday, 16 September: 3pm

Lost in the Supermarket is open to everyone!
