DNCHRD III: the thrill of it all. Watch the VDO.
In September 2006 at a warehouse space called Volume in Williamsburg where Dizzee Rascal once performed on the back of a semi-truck, Dewar’s Master-Disaster DNCHRD III: VNYL put the dance party back into the hands of the people.
THROW DOWN
DNCHRD III was a three-way DJ battle between NYC DJs, Robot Blair, Woodman, and DJ Elhaam. The catch: they could only spin vinyl provided by the audience.
VICTORY
The crowd voted with colored plastic balls, filling bins corresponding to their favorite DJ. Most of the balls ended up on the floor, however, and in the end DJ Elhaam won by a show of shouts. Her trophy was a massive record bin of vintage vinyl.
EYE CANDY
Fueled by the inhibition-destroying bass, Dewar’s and Jolt and DNCHRD host Unemployed Lloyd’s call to tear the place to the ground, the party bordered on the insane and then went over the edge with several brutal cakings set to “Everybody Dance Now.” Photo blogger Igor Smith took some great pictures which you can check out in the LVHRD Photo Gallery along with the DNCHRD III VDO.
