Repeal Day saw to it that anyone could be a champion, especially the shady, underhanded and foul-mouthed.
Congratulations to the elegant crooks who dominated the gambling room at Dewar’s Repeal Day last month. At the end of the night they cashed in their mostly legitimately-won chips for beauty, art and threads.
Chris Roan bought himself a trim and a shave at Frank’s Chop Shop.
Maura Rockcastle took home a bundle of fine rags from Marc Ecko.
Jeremy Poster bought a limited edition photography print by Phil Toledano.
Lupe Ramos has a new Sheppard Fairey print to hang on his wall; so does Michelle Lindsay.
Tate Reynolds check out with a pair of Uluru long sleeve cashmere gloves.

The Untouchables
Notice Ben Nabors in the front with red lipstick on his right cheek.
When we cashed in our chips at the end of the night we were thinking $1,200 was a lot. Negative on the cost of that mo-chine, ghostrider: these kids were bidding with $60,000 in the bank.
Though certain methods of chip acquisition were questionable (ambushing the dealers in the hallway) we cannot fault these winners, since we encouraged a no-holds-barred approach to getting the loot.
