RETURN OF THE JEDI

Not the first time we’ve seen this, but we were watching the end of Return of the Jedi last night and we thought we were watching the original until we got to the Ewok celebration and then it become OH SO BURNINGLY CLEAR that we were watching yet another thing-that-was-once-good that George Lucas has seen fit to ruin.

It wasn’t enough to totally nail-pound any semblance of maturity from Episodes I,II & III; now we have to watch our favorite films destroyed piecemeal. Not that Lucas ever really had a built-in shit detector, but at least lack of technology kept his absurd desire to ruin his life’s work in check.

We’re not so lucky anymore.
