Martin Schoeller’s portraits of female body builders require a second look and then a third.
Why is her skin that color? Is that head from a different body?
Shot against space-gray backgrounds, the veins and coal-hard muscles sizzle and burn your milky eyes, much more accustomed to Angelina Jolie’s pillow-lips (he shot her too) than these XX dragonslayers.
Schoeller’s work is on display now at Ace Gallery in Beverley Hills along with some less jacked, but no less riveting celebrity close-ups. If you’re not headed West Coast on Flight 420 to Long Beach, you can check out Schoeller’s work on the ACE website.

It would be nice to feel safe and protected when I go out on dates. No one would dare miss with me if I was dating She-Hulk. Although the cost of all of the creatine powders would probably bankrupt me.
