Dali puts it down.
Invent an artistic movement and say whatever the hell you want.
The Mike Wallace Interview ran from 1957 - 60, and during that time, Wallace asked sharp, intelligently researched questions of the World’s most compelling personalities. Online for the first time are 65 of these interviews, transferred from kinescope - bootlegging an old monitor with 16mm film.
Watch these episodes because the American time capsule is amazing: the cigarette commercials use words like ’smooth’ and ‘refreshing’, the ideas are macho, and EVERYBODY talks about God and the Atomic bomb.
Highlights:
Salvador Dali - Surrealist Painter and 4th coolest dude ever
Frank Lloyd Wright - The architect
Aldous Huxley - Brave New World
Ralph Lapp - Scientist who helped develop the Atomic bomb
Commando Kelly - Medal of Honor, WWII
Alexander de Seversky - WWI Russian fighter ace, served as consultant to US Gov & revolutionized aerial warfare in WWII
Kissinger - silly voice
Watch them all when over the UT website. I read about this on Good.
