Kind of a smack in the face for ol’ Banksy. Doubtful “big brother” was unaware of what he was up to, but they picked the perfect response: do nothing, turn the site into a landmark, put it in tourist guides to London. Don’t fight the rebels - embrace them, put them in museums, strip them of all revolutionary credibility.

Also: are people really still protesting the police state?

Come on. It’s like protesting war or icebergs melting, neither or which will ever stop. Move on.
