Suit Up
We're going into the BWL-O-RAMA
That afternoon, LVHRD’s closest friends formed up in teams of 4 and headed out to The Gutter, Brooklyn’s sneaky bowling alley. After a few cocktails and an introduction to the day’s rules, teams put on their shoes and headed into the bowling alley where their challenge awaited them.
Each of The Gutter’s 8 lanes hosted a different challenge, and teams took turns bowling one frame at each lane. The difficulty of each challenge ramped up as teams made their way down the lanes: Bowl with your weak hand on lane 2, with a pair of RX reading glasses on lane 3, with an eye patch while standing on one leg at the pirate-themed lane 5.
The climax of BWL-O-RAMA’s gutter gauntlet? Deliver an inspirational speech at lane 7, then having their portrait taken at the final frame. The results are MOVING.
We’d be remiss if we didn’t chalk up a few strikes to the generosity & potency of the Dewar’s. And of course, the condensation dribbling down the sides of the large Sapporo’s & Fred’s ensured that all fingers slid out of the bowling balls at just the right moment. Like pine tar on a bat.
When the pins had stopped spinning and the score cards had been tallied, Creighton Mershon and his gang had claimed a victorious 327.
Creighton is a founding member of WORKSHOP, a design boutique based out of Brooklyn. There, with wife and Best Dressed Grandma Jessi Arrington and their small staff, they tackle branding, web, print, Kentucky Derby Parties and bowling. Give them a look when you get the chance.
They were rewarded with a black & white pin autographed by all competitors. Priceless.
Spin through the gallery and look for your shining face!

For the win!

One pinky to rule them all.
