Sandwiched between prez and veep debates, the Silent Painting Protest urges eager voices to create and then immediately showcase their own answers to modern America.

Organized by the new national non-profit group Art Response, the event starts 11 a.m. on Saturday, October 4, with attendees convening in Prospect Park. Come 5 p.m., the gathering heads under the Arch at Grand Army Plaza, where the artists will present their works (wordlessly) to pedestrian and mobile traffic.
