Do you like “artist t-shirts”? Does the phrase “limited edition artist tee” make you whip out your wallet and start typing all of your credit card numbers at once? What about “limited edition, hand-screenprinted, Obama poster”? Just kidding! Stop typing your billing address and calm down. We have no Obama posters here.
Back to t-shirts. They are awesome! They are even more awesome when they don’t say “keep staring and I might do a trick,” or “I don’t hear voices, I talk to ghosts”. Seriously Hot Topic, you are ruining the…

The Olympics is fast approaching and the world is waiting to see if China is ready. The fantastic photoblog over at Boston.com has released a series of images of the final push with just 3 weeks to go. The futuristic nature of the architecture balanced with the traditional imagery and eerily quiet street scenes is spectacular. But I have to wonder, if this is…

From LVHRD member Jon Cronin’s blog:
“With the exception of a few anchor stores, it (Chelsea) has turned into a giant mall with bland artwork from uninspiring artists. What happened to the head of the New York Artist Movement? According to an article in the New York Observer the Movement is growing up near the “new” New Museum space opening up in the Lower East Side on the Bowery.”
The New Museum of Contemporary Art is slated to open on the Bowery December 1st, 2007 with a new design by Sejima…

In what we hope will be a Japanese fun-plosion,”Suupaa Pop: Package Design from Japan” opens April 12th at the AIGA National Design Gallery on 5th Ave. The exhibit, which runs for about five weeks, will reflect the impact of Japanese risk taking and applied technology on concept design and world marketing.
“The packaging selections on display provide examples of unexpected use of materials, innovative products, beautiful aesthetics and inspiring surprises,” not to mention glimpses of that apparently in-utero spark given to Japanese children that makes them go out and make awesome…
