We fashion aficionados here at LVHRD are always looking for the latest trends, the cheapest finds, and the best fits. What we try to avoid are things like lawsuits. The LVHRD Master-Disaster Duel Series

The Master-Disaster Duel Series follows a competition format in which two individuals, or two balanced teams, are pitted against one another in creative combat. Master-Disaster events are often industry specific, with past duels focusing on architecture, dance, fashion design, and the dramatic arts.

Monday night, 11-15-04, was the premiere of The LVHRD Foundation’s Master-Disaster series. Over 200 people attended to watch Kelly Funabashi of Redtoenails and Julie Machado of BluPrint Clothing, two young emerging fashion designers, battle down to the last second. Each designer was given an equal amount and type of fabric, one pair of scissors, one can of spray glue, 60 safety pins, needle and thread, a zipper, velcro, a stapler, and a live female form. They had one hour to design an outfit on the model, after which the audience voted on…
