Fashion designers have one hour to dress their model - using a surprise material - in front of a ‘live’ audience.
Check out our flickr set of balloon pit portraits,
check out our photos from the event.
Also, point of contention, we all know that pixar has been ripping us off for years but until now we had no proof. This trailer, hastily created and released after FSHNDL V was announced but before the event itself, proves once and for all the presence of a mole. Your thoughts?
Recently crowned Best Nightlife Photographer by Paper Magazine, Nicky Digital was on hand at FSHNDL V. His set — up now at nickydigital.com — captures the event as it unfolded, with tons of shots with Hannah Shaw, Love Brigade, Steven Alan, Natalia Rachlin, April Garret, DJ Speedrail and all the lovelies who joined us that night.
Check out Nicky’s fine shootin’ here.
A big thanks to everyone who came out to Williamsburg last night for FSHNDL V. As those of you who were there already know, Love Brigade and Hannah Shaw built dresses from scratch out of balloons, but Hannah really killed it. Those who saw the final product making its loving embrace of her model are already better, more design-minded members of society simply for witnessing it. (Even that dude in the inflatable horse costume.)
Another big thanks to Hannah, Alyssa, Jamie and Tiny Pants, our judges Steven Alan and Natalia Rachlin (and our…
For the very last time, FSHNDL V is Monday, November 24th at 8 pm at a secret location in Williamsburg. When you order tickets at LVHRD.COM ($11 for LVHRD members, $22 for non-members) we’ll let you know where said “secret location” actually is.
As in past years, FSHNDL is a timed fashion design competition where two teams of designers create couture on live models out of a surprise material. It’s also a party as only LVHRD can delivery, with DJ Speedrail spinning and complimentary Dewar’s cocktails going around. As the theme…
We’re pleased to introduce Love Brigade as one of the two competing design teams set to shine next Monday in FSHNDL V.
Conceived in the UK and based in NYC, Love Brigade, Inc., is a culturally aware and musically charged mother company that includes three fashion brands, a retail and online stores, rehearsal spaces and a music merchandising service. Love Brigade members Alyssa Key (ceo), Jamie Rockaway (vp) and Christopher “Tinypants” Dang (creative director) will team up at FSHNDL V.
The group’s music-intensive outlook has been with their from the start…
FSHNDL is coming up quickly and you’re probably wondering what you’re going to wear. Well…. fear not. We’ve pulled together a quick pictor dress guide for The End of The World.
We’re pleased to introduce Hannah Shaw as one of designers appearing in FSHNDL V next Monday.
Hannah is a clothing designer who approaches dressmaking as both a craft and an art form. She draws inspiration from juxtapositions — industrial and refined, organic and technological — to creates pieces that express themselves as garments when worn while still maintaining sculptural integrity. As hannahshawdesigns.com puts it, her “silhouettes are completely unique, edgy, yet classic.”
Hannah’s first collection was developed for her Division 3 project at Hampshire. Since graduating in 2007, Hannah has become manager…
So… we’re in the middle of the world’s worst global financial crisis, there are organizations all over the world that want us wiped off the map and George W. Bush still has a few more weeks to mess things up.
In honor of all these miseries, we’re asking you to dress for the end of the world at this year’s FSHNDL on next Monday, November 24th. So don your finest drab attire, pick up your ticket and we’ll see you next Monday to drown our sorrows in some Dewar’s and…
We’ve just opened up ticketing for our 5th annual FSHNDL. It’s on Monday, November 24th somewhere in Williamsburg.
For those of you who aren’t familiar with FSHNDL, it’s a timed fashion design competition where two designers create couture on live models out of a surprise material. In the past, we’ve given them torn up fashion magazines and aluminum foil. Who knows what it’ll be this year.
While the designers do their thing, we’ll be providing you with complimentary Dewar’s cocktails and some totally sick DJs. So hurry up and get…
That’s right… we’re throwing our 5th annual timed fashion competition this October in Manhattan. Two designers enter a ring of fire to fight off a minotaur while designing couture on the fly. The losing designer will be thrown into a spike pit filled with snakes while LVHRD members pour boiling oil into the pit. This is all assuming we can get the permits.
Well… that’s about all the details we can give out right now pending permit approval. So we made these totally awesome promotional videos to keep you interested while…
