Now you can buy prints of PHTHRD champion Alison Grippo’s stunning photography at 20×200.com, Jen Bekman’s online project to make it easier for people to find great art they want to buy.

As per the mission statement of 20×200, the above photograph of Mott Street in the grey rain is available in three sizes. The smallest size–200 prints–sell for $20 each, thus the namesake.

Even though MCFGHT II was last month we can always look forward to next yearâ€™s karaoke showdown. Weâ€™re already getting inspiration from–where else–Japan.

Via thecoolhunter weâ€™re seeing some karaoke clubs that could be either your heaven or hell. The rooms match the delirious spirit of karaoke we fell in love with, the dizzy riot that goes on in your head when youâ€™re leading a room of friends through â€œFreebird.â€

What we want to see next, maybe at Arleneâ€™s Grocery: mariachi-only karaoke night. You+full mariachi band=new resolve to live.

This weeks LVHRD VDO takes you behind the mustache to the final round of MCFGHT II, featuring viral video karaoke.

On Tuesday, May 22nd, LVHRD hosted our second annual MCFGHT: Karaoke Showdown. Held within a converted Soho gymnasium, the 3 round event featured 6 gifted competitors going mic to mic with the hopes of being crowned LVHRD’s karaoke king.

Hosted by Kurt Braunohler and featuring the championship blend of Dewar’s scotch whisky and music by Snack and C’mish from Turntable Lab, MCFGHT II was a knock-down, drag ‘em-out-in-the-street battle, the likes of which NYC has never seen. Turntable Lab mustache brigade

Snack and Câ€™mish from Turntable Lab dropped the hot rocks at MCFGHT II on Tuesday night. Then they brought LVHRDâ€™s mustache disguise sticks back to the Lab and gave everyone secret identities. Even the dog.

Thanks again to Turntable Lab for making MCFGHT II sound awesome on both sides of the karaoke showdown.

On Tuesday night we scandalized the streets of Chinatown with the second round of auditions for LVHRDâ€™s upcoming Master-Disaster Karaoke Showdown MCFGHT II.

LVHRD members and MCFGHT hopefuls crowded the downstairs karaoke lounge at Yello to enjoy complimentary beverages from Dewar’s and compete for a spot at the final karaoke showdown, May 22nd.

When the mic feedback cleared at the end of the night we had our final four contestants:

MCFGHT II host announced: Kurt Braunohler

Kurt Braunohler, the man responsible for rubbing a swan between his legs and creating Penelope: Princess of Pets for Super Deluxe, the show that NYMag ranks as “brilliant lowbrow” humor, has signed on to host LVHRD’s Master-Disaster MCFGHT II Karaoke Showdown on Tuesday, May 22nd.

Kurt is half of the street performance team known as chenguin and helped create the Neutrino Video Projects. He also co-hosts Hot Tub–TimeOut NY’s Best New Variety Show–every other Monday night at Pianos with Kirsten Schaal. Next Monday’s guests include Rob Riggle from the Daily Show and Heather Lawless.

Today, May 15th, is the final opportunity for MCFGHT II hopefuls to wow the LVHRD judges with your karaoke skills.

If you have any inkling to aspire to glory, make your way down to Yello in Chinatown tonight around 8pm where LVHRD is setting up the forward base of karaoke operations in the basement.
