Calling All Kids Again. Get Your Butts BACK to the Dance Floor

Thrsdy Jan.25.2007 11:02am | by lvhrd

Coming fresh off their one year anniversary party is Calling All Kids with yet another banger. And this time, it’s literal.

On Friday, January 26th, LVHRD Super Hero’s Ball DJ’s, The Bangers, will be guest DJing for the night alongside resident house DJ’s, Eamon Harkin and Melody Nelson.

It should be noted, too, that Calling All Kids is already in the know that this party will in fact end up on Last Night’s Party. So if you’ve ever wanted to end up in the steamy photographs of New York party goers sinning and…

Clue in the City

Mndy Jan.15.2007 12:52pm | by lvhrd

Remember the old Parker Brothers’ game, Clue? Solving mysteries, finding out that it was that dastardly Colonel Mustard in the conservatory with the lead pipe all along? Fine, fine memories, indeed. It’s too bad there isn’t a real life version that’s similar to the famous game that takes place in the city.

Wait, what’s that you say? There actually IS?

Yep, you’re absolutely right, there is, and it’s called Accomplice: New York, a game that takes all the best elements of Clue (The mystery, the suspense, the suspicion) and none of…

Semi-Permanent Event Third Most Important Thing in Australia

Thrsdy Jan.11.2007 12:35pm | by lvhrd

There are three things that are very important in Australia, Sydney specifically, that are going on or are going to be happening very soon.

1: Toilets, as seen on The Simpsons, are still flushing backwards. 2: Koala bears are forming a rebellious coup against the government, and 3: Semi-Permanent 07. And while the first two are very important in their own little way, the point of this post is number 3, which is happening on March 30th and 31st.

If you’re interested in creativity in a visual sense, and are currently…

Bearduary Begins!

Thrsdy Jan.4.2007 4:08pm | by lvhrd

If you’re a man (or maybe even if you are a woman), having a beard is a natural and beautiful thing. Why else would evolution, which has weened out so many other impractical human qualities, keep the beard as a staple of what makes a man a man and a woman…look more like a man?

So it is with great honor that LVHRD announces that it’s that time of year again to let that peach fuzz of yours grow into a full grown beard. That’s right, Bearduary’s back, and the founders…

Heather Fink Shows Coming Up

Tsdy Jan.2.2007 11:42am | by lvhrd

Looks like it’s sexytime all over again as LVHRD member and comedian, Heather Fink, has announced two big dates to help you ease into the new year.
On Jan 8th, her new show, “Street Meat,” hosted by Adam Newman, Carlen Altman, and Fink will bring a unique take on Jay Leno’s Jaywalking series. This new show, taking place at Cake Shop, will have comedy mixed with real folks from the street. On stage, comedians will either do material about street vendors/performers or pretend to be one and then be interviewed in…

LVHRD Interviews JAHFURRY

Wdnsdy Dec.27.2006 10:19pm | by lvhrd

LVHRD: Okay, so this is the DRTS series of LVHRD, something new that we’re starting to find out more about LVHRD and its members. It’s complimentary to LVHRD MGZN’s NTRVW series, and is presented in AIM format to offer more of a conversational approach similar to the fast moving, fast talking internet age. Today, we’re talking to Jeff Newelt, aka JahFurry. Jeff is interesting because he dips his toe into so many different things. On one hand, he’s a PR man at MWW Group for Samsung (the day gig), SMITH Magazine, ACT-I-VATE online…

LVHRD Member, Allegra Riggio, Is HD Friendly

Tsdy Dec.12.2006 12:15pm | by lvhrd

Appearing in high-definition on the HDNet produced news show Deadline! is LVHRD member Allegra Riggio, who presents a cheeky look at the weird and the irreverent happenings in New York City. The show, which is hosted by Katie Daryl, is a quirky news program that covers everything from artsty Halloween parties (with naked people!) to boozefests where surly men in nice clothes hit on the lovely Allegra frequently and with no shame; possibly because they’re drunk.

The clip I’m presenting here is at the Malt Advocate’s 9th Annual Whiskeyfest at the Marriot Marquis Times Square.…

Frdy Oct.20.2006 4:20pm | by lvhrd

More news on the spread of SMC!

LVHRD headquarters has been buzzing ever since we got our hands on this. It seems that Levi’s, the San Francisco based denim giant, is poised to launch a line of heavily-branded cell phones in 2007. From the press release:

Levi Strauss Europe and Modelabs Group announced today an exclusive licensing agreement to design, produce, market and distribute a range of mobile phones and mobile phone accessories for men and women under the Levi’s® brand label.

Gotham City: Abandoned by Its Heroes & Villains?

Frdy Jan.13.2006 12:30pm | by lvhrd

On December 30, 2005 (otherwise known as New Year’s Eve Eve) the 13th Annual Super Heroes Ball took place. Citizens by day, heroes and villains by night, the crime-fighting and havoc-wreaking set came out to ring in 2006 — before all the madness and debauchery of the non-Super world would have them dashing about New York. And so, those who save the world and those who attempt to destroy it came together in legendary celebration.

Each guest was temporarily disabled of their superpowers for the evening as a protective measure…
