HAPPY BIRTHDAY LLOYD

We here at LVHRD are departing from the norm this Labor Day weekend to celebrate the unemployed. Unemployed Lloyd, LVHRD friend and host of DNCHRD III, is turning an unspecified age, and wants help celebrating. The birthday bash will be at LOVE on MacDougal St. and 8th, 10pm this Sunday, August 31st– no cover until 1am. Expect ridiculous turntable action, lots of booze, and, if DNCHRD III was any indication, some pretty serious dancing.

So what’s stopping you? Employed or unemployed, you can sleep in ‘til 2 on Monday.

Block off your calendars on September 18th from 7-9pm, we’ve booked you for an event you really can’t sleep on. Aside from being called “Sweet Candy Magical Goodness,” its being put on by VEAUX.org, to celebrate the launch of their awesome new website. VEAUX.org, which borrows its name from the French word for “veal,” was founded by LVHRD member Savannah Spirit, with the aim of putting art directors, advertising professionals and other creative talent-seekers fed up with the gallery scene in touch with the freshest, choicest cut of both new…

The Baller’s Spread

People want to play a song, not listen to it

“During the week in June when Mötley Crüe released “Saints of Los Angeles,” the first single from its new album, the song sold 14,000 copies on iTunes and 48,000 on Rock Band through Microsoft’s Xbox Live network.”

Here’s your homework assignment: have sex tonight. Consider this the control for our experiment. Now, eat as much watermelon as you can this week, copulating again on Saturday. Same partner. Same positions.

We’ll check in again at the end of the week to see how things came out. Came out. Double whammy.…
