There is something quintessentially Good about this photograph. The triumph of something made from warm earth, from the hands of man. It is not religious. There are no holy ghosts here. A snot-ring bull and a boy-child. Perhaps the allusion is lunar, vaguely Chinese: we are living in the year of powerful animals, the Triumph of Man.
