LVHRD Produces Striptease for Charity 2005
Creative foundation volunteers to pile on layers and then take it all off for holiday clothing drive, donating stripped clothes and tipped money to charity

December 8, 2005, NEW YORK — Once again refusing to settle for the status quo, the LVHRD Foundation is taking the season of giving and goodwill to its extreme. LVHRD's “Striptease for Charity” will take place on December 19, 2005, and the avant-garde creative society is inviting members to strip and attendees to tip with charitable intentions. A spirited holiday party and prelude to the Super Heroes Ball, the event will allow its “strippers” to wear as much or as little clothing as they would like, asking only that they perform a striptease to display these garment donations in cabaret form. LVHRD expects, in this way, to channel creative exuberance and holiday cheer into material support of others in need.Stripping will be entirely voluntary and without predesignation. Every attendee who wishes to donate by stripping will be given the opportunity to disrobe on stage, however planned or impromptu the decision may be. LVHRD puts the matters of how much clothing is stripped and how the striptease is performed to the discretion, will, or whimsy of each individual stripper. The audience will be encouraged to tip these charitable performers as they see fit. Any and all tips given throughout the evening, as well as a percentage of proceeds from the bar, will also be donated to charity.

Last year's Striptease for Charity resulted in a donation of over 110 pounds of clothing to the Bowery Mission. This year, LVHRD hopes to surpass its 2004 precedent and will be making clothing and cash donations to Dress for Success and the Henry Street Settlement.

Striptease for Charity is a private event for LVHRD members and invited guests only. The event will be hosted by writer-comedian Todd Levin with music provided by DJ Gene Hogan. Striptease for Charity is also a precursor to the Super Hero's Ball, a costume party complete with an interactive, whodunnit-style game. Set for Friday, December 30th — New Year's Eve Eve — the Super Heroes Ball will the organization's first public access event.
