While leafing through the proverbial pages of the internet, we’ve come across something quite unique. Called The Very Short List, the site offers reviews for interesting and obscure movies to see, books to read, and music to listen to.

We here at LVHRD have always stood by the cultural medley of mixed interests that our members enjoy, which makes this site all the more readily digestible.

The site dissects culture and places it onto little manageable Venn Diagrams that can be seen at the side of each article. And while we’ve never really been into the whole Venn Diagram thing before, what with the bad memories of middle school math, the site has changed our opinion using the overlapping circles by comparing each entry with something we’re all pretty familiar with.

Take for example their review of the new baroque movie, Tears of the Black Tiger. Using their diagrams, they compare the film to Looney Tunes, Tarantino, and LSD; if that’s not an apt description of insanity on a screen, we don’t know what is.
