Paul Pope wins 2 Eisners at Comic-Con

2007.Aug.1. Wednesday - by lvhrd

LVHRD member Paul Pope who did the cover for LVHRD MGZN 03 took home 2 Eisner Awards last week at Comic-Con in San Diego.

Pope’s Batman: Year 100 won Eisners for Best Limited Series and Best Writer/Artist. We mentioned the news to our illustrator friend Louis Joseph Comeau IV who replied, “Pope’s so fucking good that’s why.”

Indeed.

Pulphope, the new collection of Paul Pope’s comic work, essays, graphic design, erotica and more, is in stores now. It’s really luscious. His drawings make our scalp itch.

Congratulations, Paul.
