For Dewar’s Master-Disaster DNCHRD III: VNYL on September 25th LVHRD is baking up the mother of all layer cakes: a nasty banana cream dance competition slathered between a three-way DJ battle where you supply the vinyl frosting.

Our first DJ competitor is DJ Elhaam whom you might know as the host of Guilty Pleasure at East Village Radio next door to Little Frankie’s Pizza.

She started spinning when she was 18 after pillaging her dad’s record collection and playing music with her friend at the restaurant where they were waiting tables in Atlanta.

The feedback from patrons was good, so they teamed up under the name DJs Kiss & Tell, throwing parties that got bigger and bigger until the local paper named them best rock DJs in ATL.

From there it was a hop to NYC where Elhaam took over a weekly party at The Darkroom when it was still relatively new. A co-worker introduced her to the folks at East Village Radio who liked her sound and decided to give her a weekly show, Guilty Pleasure, Monday nights, 8-10pm.

We’re pleased to welcome DJ Elhaam to LVHRD and can’t wait to see what she can do on the ones and twos.
