For Dewar’s Master-Disaster DNCHRD III: VNYL on September 25th LVHRD is baking up the mother of all layer cakes: a nasty banana cream dance competition slathered between a three-way DJ battle where you supply the vinyl frosting.

Our second DJ competitor, Robot Blair, co-founder of the music blog “Music for Robots,” hails from Brooklyn.

Contrary to what you may have read in the NY Post, he is not married to an android. Robot is married to a lovely woman, and her name is Daphne.

For almost a decade he has been categorically obsessed with spinning electronic music, streaming 1s and 0s, and staying hydrated (robots depend on smooth action to pull of turntable moves with inhuman precision).

Blair currently hosts the party “People Don’t Dance No More” with his DJ-partner David Bruno, where they pull off the subtly ironic feat of disproving the name of the party the first Friday of every month at 200 Orchard.
