The Super Slow 5k is an utterly non-competitive (some might say lazy) “race” around McCarren Park this Sunday.

It’s so non-competitive that participants are encouraged to take naps, stop for hot dogs, and wander out into the neighborhood for a drink. Just make sure to keep your number on!

No one is expected to show up on time or actually finish the race. You can register here if you’re terribly concerned, or just show up at the park on Sunday.

This kind of laissez-faire wandering seems perfectly suited to Williamsburg. There will also be a group hug and photo shoot at the end for all the athletes.
