One man army

He's got eight arms under that shirt.

Wally Green is like a Harlem Globetrotter for table tennis. He does not look especially menacing or insanely athletic. If you saw him with a ping pong paddle you might think he was a casual player and accept his nonchalant challenge for a game of back-and-forth.

“You know what?” Wally would say, “How about I use my cell phone and you use a paddle, just for fun?”

And you, being the slightly arrogant, sporting soul that you are, would accept Wally’s challenge and be summarily beaten in a crowded pool hall by a man using his Blackberry for a paddle.

It wouldn’t be until after the game that Wally might mention he’s a table tennis pro and the guy who did much of the motion capture for Rockstar’s “Table Tennis.”

But he probably wouldn’t even tell you that. He’d just add another notch on the top of his phone: Wally Green, 42; Your Hubris, 0.
