Turbow in NY Mag: I’ve gone gray

2008.Feb.18. Monday - by lvhrd

Clothing Designer Rebecca Turbow (FSHN DL II) has switched her wardrobe from turquoise to monochromatic gray. If this doesn’t shock you or sound amazing, it should. When we say she has “switched,” we mean that every article of clothing Rebecca wears is now gray, from ribbons to the soles of her shoes.

“Last September I switched to gray,” says Rebecca in NY Mag. “I’d had a bad year and I needed to get out of it (turquoise).”

Her clothing line still has plenty of turquoise; Rebecca feels that splitting her personal and professional colors helps separate her private and public life. Her mother thinks she should branch out.

“I don’t know if it’s a condition; I’ve always wondered if there’s a name for it.”

Rebecca’s interview in NY Mag is part of a feature on five New Yorkers who only wear one color.
