Vatican busts out new “social” sins
2008.Mar.10. Monday - by lvhrd
What have you done so far today? We’ll bet “drastically reducing humanity’s ability to cope with itself” isn’t on the list.
The Vatican has it on lock though. We now have a new list of “social” sins to contend with.
1. “Bioethical” violations such as birth control
2. “Morally dubious” experiments such as stem cell research
3. Drug abuse
4. Polluting the environment
5. Contributing to widening divide between rich and poor
6. Excessive wealth
7. Creating poverty
We were really hoping for one along the lines of “Collecting the CV data of millions of people via social networking for more efficient marketing,” but no dice.
And aren’t the last two just variations of #5?

[…] it’s merely pointless. One thing’s for sure though, the list really is pointless. And, as LVHRD.ORG point out, there’s actually only five sins in there. Oh, Vatican you cheeky bastards! We paid you for […]

#1. If the vatican allowed its followers to use birth control, the world population might be a little more manageable and women might have more control over their bodies and therefore their own future. Using ‘bioethical’ as a pseudoscientific phrase does not change the fact that the vatican believes that it owns every womans womb.
#2. Is not the vatican ‘morally dubious’ ? Think of their no condom policy towards aids in africa.
#3. Drug abuse happens for a wide range of reasons and abusers need help and support, not a wagging finger.
#4.The vatican pollutes the environment. By not allowing birth control, the human race is becoming a polluter in its own right - 6 billion and counting.
#5.The vatican has one of, if not THE largest art collections in the world and one of the poorest congregations. The pope covers himself in ermine and jewels - who’s he trying to kid?
#6.Same as above. It would be a bold statement if the vatican were to sell off its wealth, close down st peters and concentrate on the poor and abused of this world.
#7.The vatican creates poverty by not allowing birth control and self determination.
The vatican is morally bankrupt - end of story!
