Christopher Wheeldon’s newest creation for the New York City Ballet, The Nightingale and the Rose, premieres this Friday, June 8th.
Based on Oscar Wilde’s story of the same name, with an original score by NYCB Composer-In-Residence Bright Sheng, the piece will also feature LVHRD member and Vending Machine Challenge competitor Gwyneth Muller (pictured kicking in red).

On October 3rd, 2005, LVHRD hosted the world’s only Vending Machine Challenge, an eating competition sanctioned by The Global League of Competitive Consumption. The VMC pits teams of 3 from rival organizations against each other in a timed consumption contest in which they must consume the entire contents of a vending machine.

We know you’ve been waiting for it, so here it is. LVHRD reached new highs on October 17th with the world’s debut of the Vending Machine Challenge, a competitive eating event in which two teams were charged with the task of eating the entire contents of a vending machine in the fastest time possible. More than 350 members made their way to the Pioneer Bar on the Bowery to watch designers, media reps, dancers, and advertisers duke it out for glutton glory!
